Caroline Hannema has worked with the athletics program at Hope College since fall 2011. She heads marketing and promotions for all 22 varsity athletic teams and is responsible for coordinating special events for the department.

In addition to her work with promotions, Caroline is the director of the SEED (Sport Evangelism to Equip Disciples) program and organizes international sport mission trips for student-athletes.

She also serves as the advisor to the Athletes Coming Together/Student Athlete Advisory Committee, where she leads a group of student-athletes who are committed to making a difference on their teams and in the Hope athletic community.

Caroline served as the assistant to the athletic directors and assistant coach for the Hope swimming and diving teams from 2011 to 2016.

Professional experience

Prior to Hope, Caroline spent one season working with the St. Paul Saints minor league baseball team in St. Paul, Minnesota. She worked with group ticket sales and special events.

In addition to her work at Hope, Caroline is an assistant swim coach for the Ultimate Swim Camp in San Antonio during the summer, alongside former Olympian Josh Davis.

Outside the college

You can often find her at the beach, enjoying beautiful Lake Michigan or taking a walk through downtown Holland.
